The Story
In La Paz Bolivia, I shared my homemade pizzas with the travelers and workers at my friend’s hostel. The food brought everyone together, we traded stories, laughs, and even led into people sharing their life philosophies. After lunch, an Israeli traveler came up to me and told me that he was so thankful for my pizza, that he gave me his hat.
This was the power of food, the conversations led to connections, and he was influenced from it. Therefore, it influenced find a greater purpose to impact people by sharing pizzas.
This was the birth of The Pizza Challenge event, to demonstrate love, value and acceptance for vulnerable kids. It is their special event that is packed with fun activities, social interactions, and with Jesus. As the event develops, we are getting better with involving Jesus’s love story into the event.

La Paz, Bolivia
This was the first pizza challenge. We wanted to remind the kids on the street that they are still thought of and not forgotten. We had two pizza restaurants that made 120 pizzas for this event. We had gift bags, games, music, theater and art for the kids. Lastly, we had a group of psychologists and a doctor that walked around to talk to the kids and parents.

Arequipa, Peru
This pizza challenge was at the New Hope Peru orphanage. We gathered 4 orphanages together, 100 kids, 100 pizzas, face painting, soccer, volley ball and art.

Quito, Ecuador
This Pizza Challenge was at the Henry Davis Foundation in Quito Ecuador. We had 3 orphanages, 140 kids, over 100 pizzas, 150 snow cones, soccer, football, face painting, art and a photo booth. The kids had a great time and I did too.

Mazatlan, Mexico
This Pizza Challenge was the first time I have organized majority of the event from outside the community. I teamed up with an organization called Racham Mazatlan that supports vulnerable kids. There were many challenges for this event, however, the kids blessed and had a great time. I learnt a lot from this event and will carry it onto the next one.
