Amigos del Tren

This organization is based in Irapuato Mexico. They support migrants who have made the strenuous journey from their country, and are attempting to reach the boarder of USA. In Irapuato, migrants live on the street for days waiting for a train that they can climb into the carriage, and ride the boarder. Their journey is extremely hard, dangerous, and taxing on their bodies. 95% of migrants are from Venezuela, and they have walked through the jungles of Columbia and Panama. There are commonly 200 – 300 people, but and some occasions as high as 800 people on the street.
This organization provide food, clothes, health items and in the future consistent health services.


Luz en Tinieblas
(Light in the Darkness)

Daniel and his wife started an organization called ‘the light in the darkness’. Their goal is to prevent children from entering into human trafficking industry. Their base office is located in Quito, and that is where I volunteered my podiatry services.
They support families by providing day services especially for kids that the families would not be able to provide.

Julio Talavera has been involved in Christian prison ministry for over 12 years in the men’s and women’s jail in Arequipa. Julio was the only way I was able to gain access to the Socabaya Carcel de Mujeres (Socabaya Arequipa women’s jail), and I am very blessed am privilege to have that opportunity to serve.

New Hope Peru Orphanage.

An orphanage that is located Arequipa Peru. Their residential care program provides family-style, individualized care for vulnerable children. Children at New Hope, ranging from babies to older children in vocational training or higher education, live in casitas (small family-style apartments) with groups of 4-5 other children and their house parents. Every child in our residential care program has a specific care plan focused on getting them into a family-based solution.
